Product Description
The Shimano Sojourn Musky rod is built from Graphite Composite and come with Cork Handles, Aluminum Oxide guides, and a Custom Shimano Reel Seat. The Musky Sojourn also features an EVA butt cap, multipurpose hook keeper, and a one year limited warranty.

Good for heavier lures

The size of the eyes and spacing makes it difficult to throw smaller lures like mepps a decent distance. I tried putting on my best baitcast and other reels with the same issue. I used a 40lb braid with a 12lb diameter. Although, when I used a heavier bait such as a double cow girl by musky mayhem, the lure sailed fine. I guess you just have to choose your pole accordingly to whay bait you plan on using that particular day. All in all its a good rod in certain aspects. Would recommended it for larger bodies of water.

Can't wait to use it

The rod looks to be exactly as described. I bought the rod to go lake trout fishing on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. I would rate the rod as a 5 but the ice and snow are still on the waters in Wyoming and I haven't used it yet.
