Berkley Glowstik Casting Rod

My husband is an avid fisherman and loves this fishing rod. It's the perfect BIG catfish rod, but is sensitive enough for the smaller 8-10 pounders, as well. His biggest haul using this rod was 60+ pounds. He uses it for both day and night fishing, but the glow feature, at night, is what sets this rod apart. It is very visible without being glaring, like lantern light.It takes 3 AAA batteries and the batteries have a long life in this rod. We purchased 10 of these rods in July 2009 and have not needed to replace the batteries yet. We gave two of these rods as Christmas gifts, 2010. Makes the perfect gift for the fisherman who has everything.Highly recommended.April 18,2013 - as an addendum to my above review... My husbands rods, with the reels on them, were stolen 4-06-13. We are replacing them all with this same rod. Gotta have 'em.

A friend showed me one of these poles and I had to have one. In just a few minutes on Amazon I found a price so cheap that I ordered two. I have been using them and for night fishing they are the best.

i have two of these rods one an 8ft spinning and i got myself 7ft rod both are fantastic have the good tri held eyes instead of those garbage ones on most other rods. if you leave it in the sun for 10 minutes it will glow strong for a good hour. imagine an all day fishing trip. not only does it glow it has two led lights that recharge the glow of the rod. it is super sensitive so you can feel the 1-2 lb but also strong enough to take down the 80+lb fish. great rod love both of them to death matched up with a shimano reel, power pro braid, and team catfish hook sliders and bait you will have an overall great night of fishing. went last night and cant wait to go out again!!! you should get one to
