Beautiful and Affordable

Getting back into fishing after a multi-decade lapse, I did some searching around and discovered this pole. Six-feet long, one-piece, graphite construction, with very nice fit and finish, gloss black with red lettering, cork handle. Looks much more expensive than the $18.99 I paid for it here. I also looked at the 6' Shimano Sojourn Casting Rod for $28.09, and the 6'6" Okuma Aquios Casting Rod for $34.99. Any of these would probably be great, but something struck me about the Quantum Qx24, so at this price I felt I couldn't go wrong. It's a beauty! And the reel attachment is so elegant, at first I didn't realize how it worked: the front section of the grip turns, so you just unscrew it a little to put the reel feet in place and then re-tighten it. Firm attachment. The black rod with red lettering looks great with the red Daiwa Millionaire Baitcast Reel I also bought. Will put Stren 12# monofilament on it and try it out on vacation at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.
