Okuma Nomad Inshore rods is the only rod you need when planning your exotic fishing trip. These rods allow you to create two rods in one. What is extremely unique about this rod series is that the rod comes with two different action tips allowing you the versatility to fish different scenarios depending on what fish are biting and the conditions you are faced with. The innovative and extremely durable European Spigot ferrule design and look different, but it has been tested giving you all the feel and power of a one piece rod that comes in three sections for easy transportation. The connections come together and pull apart simply with the rubberized ferrule grip connection system. Nomad saltwater rods use top quality components with ALPS guides, 2-tone anodized aluminum reel seat and machined aluminum trigger reel seat on casting models.

Nice for Medium Light Surf Fishing

Back in November of this year I purchased this rod to replace my older 8' 6" St Croix Wild River rod. Wanted something shorter and lighter for better casting with smaller lures and also for a person who wears a backpack while riding a bike locally.While water temperatures in Long Island Sound were still warm enough and smaller striped bass were cruising the shore, I was having a good time casting smaller wooden and hard plastic plugs in the 5/16 ounce to 3/4 ounce range with the ML piece and using a Penn Pursuit 4000 with 10 pound Cajun Red.Had many days landing close to 10 striped bass up to 21 inches long right from shore. Got good casting distance and good fighting action with the rod.

This is the Okuma Inshore Nomad Travel fishing Rod, Not the Saltwater version that the picture shows. The Inshore fishing rod is by far my favorite rod. It's 7 ft Medium Light and Medium Action. You get two action rod tip. The 7 ft fishing rod breaks down into 3 sections measuring 29 inch each, making it extremely easy to carry around. It comes with a quality handling rod case that is 32' x 4 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. The case allows you to stuff a few fishing lures / hooks in there. It's not the typical cylinder shape that most travel rods come in. With Okuma Nomad design, it truly feels like a 1 piece fishing rod. I"m waiting for Okuma to develop a 10ft Surf Travel Rod.

You are getting a two rod set up because of the two tip options. I have used it in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Maryland & Aruba. It easily manages fish up to 41 inches long. I have caught Dorado, Amberjacks, Snook, Mackerel, Kingfish, Sea Trout, Stripers, Bone Fish, Lady Fish, Snapper & Bass without problem. These rods are top quality with the best guiders & reel seats in the industry. They are impervious to salt. I pair mine with a Okuma Cedros 40 & 55 Bait Runner Reels! I also use Cortland Masterbraid on them with Seguar Carbonfloura leaders. Inshore perfect & great for offshore top water casting with pile on fish!
