I bought this as a back up to other more expensive rods. I use it more and have caught more fish on that thing! It is fast and easy to cast. My 6-7 wt. is tough enough to take bass or steelies. Great rod and can't beat the price-point.

Like anything i like to do i never have enough time its always something but when i find the time to fish i have to like what im using. I have all the rods from the cherrywood collection and i must say these are great quality and very affordable I do most if not all of my freshwater wishing in the Roscoe region of the catskill mtns in new york which is known as trout town USA ive seen Orvis rods LL Bean and all the other high end rods stuff up here and at the end of the day None of them out fish my Cherrywood Try one of the collection or just buy them all great quality and wallet friendly too. Im sure ill get alittle flack from those guys who carry what they think is the good stuff its all about whats on your plate at dinner time.Go wet a line and enjoy your fish Rick

I was amazed a the quality vs price of this rod. I would put this rod up against any high dollar brand on the market. I fish in north Georgia streams and rivers and this rod is perfect for it. It loads extremely easy and i was able to cast my WF 5 out 20 yards with very little effort. I would recommend this to any fly fisherman trying to get started or looking to replace.
