GREAT rod... until I broke it!

I can't slam this rod, because while I was using it it became my favorite ultralite I'd ever owned. However, the eyes are VERY weak. I bumped one of the lower eyes against a rail while fishing (really, a bump. not a hard hit or anything) and the eye popped right off. Since this is not part of the Ugly Stick line damage like this is not covered by the warranty.In other words: after 1 month of use I could buy another one, which will have cost me more than if I had just sprung for the $80 1170-2UL Ugly Stick. Even if that was this fragile (which it is NOT) it would be replaced for free.If you are on a budget and don't mind babying your pole, this really is a great rod for the money. I mean it. Just... be gentle with it, okay?

FUN TO USE AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

POLE IS EASIER TO USE THAN ANTICIPATED. CAST ARE LONGER THAN EXPECTED. RETRIEVING LARGER FISH IS A VERY SATISFYING EXPERIENCE.

This is a great rod. I have caught everything from panfish to 6lbs smallmouth bass on it. Great sensitivey. It is my go to rod when fishing for brook trout. I bring it no matter what i'm fishing. Matches up Great with the Pflueger President Spinning Reel.
