Fantastic value

I use this rod for trout/kokanee fishing out of a kayak. It's perfect for that and has become my absolute favorite. Great action, perfect length, really great fit and finish. It's a very light action rod, but it has enough of a spine to do some long-line trolling with up to about 3/4ths ounce weight, unlike some of the true "noodle rod" kokanee rods, which bend all the way over. I don't see how you could touch this rod for the price. I'll probably buy the spinning rod version, as well.

I used this rod with a TICA KT100 Kokanee Bait Casting Reel. It is really nice. Great sensitivity and worked great for Kokanee

Dissapointment

SST rods are two piece rods that takes away from the action and feel for anyone that has experience with rods knows. Two piece rods also have a tendency to come apart when you least want them two. The last thing that unsold me from ever ordering a rod from Amazon in the future is the fact that my SST rod came with a broken tip. An easy fix with a new rod tip, but the action will forever be heavier than what you intended it to be. Shop elsewhere and get what you mean to buy as Amazon fails to give needed details and shipping may bring you a damaged rod as well.
