The E21 Carrot Stix advanced nano carrot fiber & nano silica make up the rod blank construction including pack bay semi micro guides with zirconium insert for the tip, one piece graphite blank exposed procut for the reel seat, special shape rear grip for easier control of the rod, increased nano bio fibers resulting in improved surface durability and flexural strength of the blank. You’ll get less flutter and line tangles during casting for higher performance and it is light weight to reduce fatigue.

nice rod for the money

love the rod, but amazon did not list if it was 1 piece or 2! it's actually a 2 piece and great for spinnerbaits and cranbaits! caught 2 stripers the first time out with it and plan on getting a 1 piece medium heavy for soft plastics.

Terrific bargain Terrific Rod

I bought this last night at Gander Mountain for 60 buck now I'm kicking myself for not getting it here. I used this rod today for the first time. I'm extremely impressed, cold front moved through two nights ago and I had tough day of fishing yesterday. today I used this rod to fish slow and deep at an over fished public location in Southern Indiana. Once i found fish with my electronics I took my time and this rod let me feel every little thing down there at 20 foot. The bites felt like bricks hitting the rod tip while my buddy wasn't feeling much until they chomped on the bait. getting prepared to sett the hook is a problem of mine, this rod gives you the cushion to get ready to drive that hook home. We caught 14 bass in total between 12 and 20 inches. All in an hour. This rod made me slow down and appreciate the fine art of finesse fishing.

I love this rod not too big not too heavy. This is a top of the line product in quality and durability. I also have its brother a six feet six inch quantum response I would recommend and its twenty dollars less expensive..you can't compare it to any rod around. thirty five dollars total very well spent.

Product Description

We believe the two most important factors in a steelhead rod are line control and SENSITIVITY. No matter where you fish or which technique you choose, there's a steelhead rod that offers you maximum CONTROl. If you fish small coastal streams, you can get by with a shorter rod. If, on the other hand, you frequent big, wide rivers, longer rods are definitely the way to go (for a variety of reasons, including optimum line angle, river drag and sensitivity). As for sensitivity, it doesn't matter whether you plunk, drift-fish from shore, or use a boat: knowing what's going on at the end of your line is absolutely crucial for successful steelheading. These fish may be big, but for the most part their bite is incredibly subtle. That's why we DESIGN these rods with a fairly soft tip and the most sensitive materials possible. Select the rod that matches your angling situation and be sure to give careful consideration to the different levels of graphite performance available. This winter steelhead rod provides the extra power necessary to fish higher water conditions and swifter currents. On average, winter steelies run larger than their summer cousins, so the extra backbone is a big advantage. Rated for up to 17-pound line, the 1025C is beefy enough for Chinooks, but better suited for chums, sockeyes and cohos. This rod was designed for winter steelhead where sensitivity is important. On the average, winter-run steelhead run larger than their summer cousins and more power is better. Rated for up to 17 pound line, it' s strong enough for kings, but is better suited for Silvers, Chums or Sockeye. It's our best all around drift rod and thanks to IMX is extremely light and ultra-sensitive! Advantage angler!

I own several so I knew what I was getting. Excellent choice for winter run Steelhead. Use this one for back bouncing skein. Sensitivity allows for detection of subtle bites. Eyelets are large enough to minimize icing problems, however in certain instances it still does occur.The tip has enough pliability and have never had problem requiring replacement on any Loomis rod I own.As a side bar, for any Walleye fisherman, the Walleye series are phenomenal jigging rods. Really quick on the set, even in deep (40 plus) feet of water. I have several other Walleye rods and for jigging you can really see the difference.

This is my second Fenwick elite tech walleye rod I order. First one was the 7'2" Medium with fast action tip. Fell in love with it so much I had to order a 7'2" Medium Light, fast action tip. These rods are great! Super light and you can feel every bump. Fast action tip with great back bone! Shipping was fast and easy and received items undamaged. Thanks!

Excellent rod for excellent price.

Even though the price for this rod isn't expensive, it still out performs every other rod I've ever use. I caught so many fish from big to small with this rod ever since I received it. I love this shimano solara rod because the strength and power this rod has is unbelievable. I'd push this rod to the limit and it still is in very good condition. Definitely recommend this rod for every fisherman out there.

Best rod I bought off of amazon.

This rod works great! i got it super fast. bought it on Tuesday and received it on friday! It came in brand new condition. already took it out to the lake and caught some nice 4-5lb largies. it performed superbly. I recommend this rod to any beginner or experienced fishermen. It is cheap but very durable. Shimano is the best!

Awesome Rod

Awesome Rod!!! This rod landed some good fighting stripers and sturgeons. The tip is sensitive and the back bone is surprisingly strong. I also own a casting rod version of this rod. I'm thinking on buying another one through Amazon, since it's cheap and the shipping is super fast.

When you consider the price, $ 20.00 to $27.00 this little rod is by far one of the best in the market, I have it rigged with a Shimano Sedona 2000RD, I have an spool with 4 lbs line and one with 8 lbs. I use the 4 lbs line with Trout Magnets and the 8 lbs line for Chatterbaits and Glass Chads. When using the 4lbs line and the trout magnets you feel the smallest nibble from the 2" fish biting the Trout Magnet. The biggest bass that I have fished using this rod is about 6 lbs and the rod did very well. I like it so much that I'm buying 3 more for my kids. Believe me I have about 26 rods from Fenwick to Ugly Sticks for the price this little beauty by takes them all.

This is one the most sensitive rods I've tried.It let's you feel the slightest hit and can easily handle a 2 pound fish.I strongly suggest you match this rod with a quantum ul reel and Berkley Fire Line and you will not be disappointed for an inexpensive outfit.

Super light, Well Balanced, Cheap

For a light outfit, the Berkley Cherrywood 2 pc 5'6" is a great little rod. Do not expect heavy duty use out of the rod, as the price you pay is comparable w/ the durability of this rod. I snapped mine after getting snagged in a tree branch. For an inexpensive light spinning rod though, this is a good pick. Just make sure to set the drag when you've got a big fish on, and do not try and tough your way out of tree branches/ snags as you would with bigger poles.
