its really greati would say suitable for both fresh and salt water. the second half is really flexible and you would really sense the fish nibbling your bait. I use this with a president pflueguer and they go together like brangilena.enjoy

USED THE ROD 5 TIMES AND THE METAL REEL HOLDERS WILL NOT KEEP THE REEL IN ONE PLACE THE REEL WILL ACTUALLY TURN ALL THE WAY AROUND THE SLOT DOES NOT KEEP THE REEL STABLE.

Feels like light action thought itd be heavier, great rod for the price! Can feel everything on my line from weeds to rocks to fish strike. Hope it's durable for when I hook that monster! Looks cool yellow/blue, easy to see at night. Don't feel confident for fish 20+ lbs but I'll put it to the test, I would buy another for my open face spinning reel when my current rod breaks.

Best pole in the "clearance" bin !!

Came across this at a big box retailer stuffed into their clearance bin. A quick search on amazon revealed it was a deal at their price of $39 but was no-brainer at $13.99 which is what it was selling for. I guess smart phones do come in handy! [sometimes].Seems like a super high quality mid-range spinning pole. We will see if the fish like it!

Designed and built for Eatmytackle.com, this rod is perfect for catching ballyhoo, cigar minnows, hard tails, goggle eyes, blue runners, and many other baits! The opening in the rod is 7/16" and will accomodate the larger hooks found on some rigs. The rod allows the entire sabiki rig with all the hooks, to wind up and store inside the rod. NO MORE SABIKI HOOKS IN YOUR CLOTHES OR YOU! Can be used with any small spinning or bait cast reel. Sabiki rigs last for ever and will not get twisted. We have built this rod as 2 pieces for ease of storage. Comes with a vinyl pouch for storage.

Fantastic Purchase

I bought this for my wife and five year old who are more thrilled by the catch than the size of the catch.It is a fish catching machine. They are delighted by being able to drop the rig in the water and pull up 2,,3, 4, and even 5 fish at a time.This thing more than pays for itself in two ways:1. Bait and bait fish now free2. Don't have to throw away the rig after every use because it is so tangled. Just reels up neatly inside until next time.Will probably buy another. Terrific quality construction too.

The rod arrived faster than expected. The detail on the rod is excellent. It's always a plus when you get what you paid for, but this time I think the rod was a real bargain. Great job "EAT MY TACKLE"!
